Cambrian Heights keeps its evening light longer than the park below it — as the sun drops, Confederation Park's ravine goes to shadow first while the rooflines along the rim above stay lit. Timed wrong, half the frame is already dead — the park that sells the location reads as a dark trench under lit houses, or the houses go grey while the grass below still glows.

A golden-hour hold planned against the ravine's shadow line rather than the published sunset keeps the park and the rooftops in the same usable light, delivered on the turnaround agreed at booking.

Light. The ravine sets the clock: its floor loses direct light before the rooftops do, so evening windows are planned to the shadow line rather than the published sunset. The park's trees carry autumn colour that reads strongly from above; chinooks strip the snow fast.

On the ground. Under City of Calgary bylaws, municipal parks — Confederation Park included — are not available for drone takeoff or landing; launches are staged from private property with the owner's permission.
