Hillhurst is a slope wearing a grid: the ground climbs from the flats around the Kensington Village shops toward the SAIT campus on the hill above, and each east–west street sits a little higher than the one below it. On the ground that climb disappears — every block looks level from inside it — so a listing on the upper streets cannot show the position, and the outlook, that separates it from the flats below.
