Legacy ends not at a fence line but at a fall of ground — the community's edge drops toward Pine Creek, and the Legacy Environmental Reserve keeps that slope unbuilt. A reserve-backing lot and an interior lot look identical from the street, so ground photography erases the exact difference the seller paid a premium for at purchase.

A boundary-line orbit along the reserve edge, or a rising reveal off the lot toward Pine Creek, puts that fall of land into the frame — delivered on the turnaround agreed at booking.

Light. Green-up reaches the reserve grasses before the new lawns, and autumn browns them first — the shoulder seasons are when the reserve edge reads most distinctly. North-facing ravine slopes hold snow after the grid is clear.

Terrain. New-build grid on high prairie at the city's southern edge, falling away to Pine Creek along the community's rim, where the Legacy Environmental Reserve holds the slope as open ground.

Wind. Chinook belt, and the southern edge is fully exposed to it. The Pine Creek ravine can bend gusts along its own line, so the reserve edge is flown with more margin than the interior streets.

Airspace. In uncontrolled Class G airspace about 11 km from Kirkby Field (Indus), Legacy lies outside the charted Calgary-area control zones, and no authorisation is normally required. Flight plans here also keep clear of South Health Campus heliport, operating about 3 km away. The specific site and altitude are confirmed against NAV Drone before every flight.

On the ground. City of Calgary bylaws restrict launching and landing in municipal parks and reserves, so takeoff is planned from private property with the owner's permission. About 30 minutes from the base — still a single-trip booking, and it pairs efficiently with Walden, Seton or Chaparral on the same run south.
