The Ice Cream Shop
Overhead, summer

Seen from straight down, a small building becomes a composition: the seam lines of the roof, the white awning, the sign on it, the cars angled along the front. The overhead frame does what a street-level photograph cannot — it shows the place as a whole, and the summer around it.
One frame, held. The geometry of a roof and the colour of an afternoon.
