Downtown Calgary, Alberta. Existing Atom2Adam city imagery illustrating scale and architecture; it is not a New York skyline.

The address is part of the story.

New York hospitality spans historic properties, contemporary interiors and different neighbourhood experiences. An interior-led Manhattan brief and a waterfront sequence in Brooklyn's DUMBO are different visual propositions. A useful campaign decides which belongs to the subject, instead of borrowing a skyline as a substitute for a point of view.

For a hotel, restaurant or property, the transition from a particular room to the street can carry the story. Frame the materials and people first, then establish the approved surroundings that explain where the experience lives. The relationship between these scales is planned before adding locations to the schedule.

Commissions shaped by New York City.

An operating hotel, carefully observed

Create the room, lobby, dining and guest-experience collection around the property's available windows. A film can communicate atmosphere while composed stills provide the practical views needed by the website and campaign.

A launch with a neighbourhood

A restaurant or commercial brand can use its immediate surroundings when they contribute to the idea. Keep the subject central, with product, service and people planned alongside any street sequence.

A property in context

Connect interior design, building character and an approved exterior view. Agree the important spaces and perspectives with the client, rather than assuming every rooftop, facade or waterfront is available to a crew.

From direction to delivery.

  • Consultancy & Creative Direction

Define the campaign's relationship to New York: the actual property, audience, neighbourhood and reason to be there. Direction can begin remotely before travel is arranged.

  • Film

Commercial films built from intentional scenes, with hotel operations, brand presence and approved access shaping the capture plan.

  • Photography

Stills for commercial spaces, architecture, hospitality and lifestyle, with the composition and delivery requirements established before the shoot.

  • Post-Production

Edit the collection into a clear campaign language, with colour, sound and platform versions developed against the original brief.

  • Aerial

A scoped possibility subject to the proposed flight, operator, airspace and location permissions. Canadian certification is not presented as authorization to operate in New York.

Access is a creative decision, too.

Start with the actual property and camera positions. Equipment on public property, production parking and the jurisdiction controlling a location can change the permission path. City filming permissions, a private owner's approval and drone take-off or landing permissions are separate considerations.

Aerial footage is proposed only after the operator and operation can meet applicable federal and City requirements. If those conditions do not support the sequence, the brief can use ground-based film and photography. Travel, any required work permissions and location coordination are settled before the production is booked.

New York City questions, answered.

Can a Calgary-based studio be commissioned for a New York City campaign?

Yes. Atom2Adam can begin creative consultancy remotely and scope production travel around the brief. The client-funded commission includes agreed deliverables, expenses and access planning. Any applicable work or production permissions must be established before the shoot is confirmed.

How can a hotel shoot include the neighbourhood without disrupting operations?

The property identifies approved spaces and capture windows first. Exterior scenes are selected for their contribution to the story and planned through the relevant location permissions. The room, service and street do not need to be captured at the same time to form one coherent campaign.

Can aerial footage be guaranteed, and is the displayed film from New York?

Aerial coverage is conditional on the flight, operator, airspace and location requirements; it is not guaranteed by this page. The selected film and photographs are Atom2Adam work made in Alberta, identified in their captions as representative production rather than New York portfolio history.
