A place has more than one scale.

Vancouver offers a particular relationship between built space and its surroundings. Coal Harbour places hotels and marinas beside the waterfront; downtown architecture belongs to a city with ocean, mountain and forest settings. For a hotel or property, the useful question is how much of that setting belongs in the story, and when to return to the room, the material or the person.

A commission can begin with an intimate interior sequence and widen into the neighbourhood that gives it meaning. Those are separate scenes to plan, with their own access and light. The surrounding landscape is context to investigate, rather than a promise that every environment can be reached in one shoot day.

Commissions shaped by Vancouver.

A hotel in its setting

Connect the arrival, rooms, dining and guest experience to a considered view of the waterfront or neighbourhood. Build a film and still collection that works on the hotel's website and in a destination campaign.

Architecture with an outside

Show the relationship between an interior, its facade and its outlook. Agree the important materials and sightlines with the designer before choosing the hour or camera movement.

A brand with a sense of place

Give a commercial story a specific setting without letting scenery replace the subject. Plan people, product details and environmental sequences against the same visual references.

From direction to delivery.

  • Film

A place-led commercial film: movement through a property, lived moments and a wider establishing view, edited around what the audience needs to understand.

  • Photography

Hotel, interior and architectural photography with a planned balance of atmosphere and information. Still frames are considered alongside the motion brief.

  • Consultancy & Creative Direction

Decide which parts of Vancouver are relevant to this brand, what access they need and how the finished work should feel before committing to a shot list.

  • Aerial

An optional way to explain a property's surroundings. Aerial production is planned against the specific site, airspace and applicable permissions before it is confirmed.

  • Post-Production

Editing, colour and sound connect intimate interiors with exterior scale, with delivery formats agreed for the campaign and the property's own channels.

The waterfront is also a working location.

City streets and plazas, Park Board locations and private properties have different access processes. A Vancouver production should establish who controls each location, whether a filming licence or permit is needed, and how a crew can work around public movement. Park access is checked separately from street access.

For hospitality, the brief should identify guest-sensitive areas, room availability and the views that matter. Exterior coverage needs an alternative if the planned conditions do not support the intended frame. Film and photography on the ground remain part of the plan when an aerial sequence is unavailable.

Vancouver questions, answered.

Can Atom2Adam travel to Vancouver for a hotel or brand film?

Yes. Vancouver projects are commissioned from the Calgary operating base, with creative consultancy available remotely. Production travel and expenses are agreed at cost in the written scope before booking. There is no Vancouver office represented by this page.

Can the room, waterfront and architecture share one visual direction?

They can be planned together, with film and photography working from the same references. The exact locations, access windows and schedule depend on the property and brief; a waterfront or mountain scene is not assumed to fit every production.

Is the work shown here filmed in Vancouver?

The images and selected film on this page are service-representative Atom2Adam work from British Columbia and Alberta, with the actual places identified. They show environmental, property and hospitality capabilities; they are not presented as Vancouver commissions.
