West Creek's centrepiece photographs by borrowed light — at low sun, West Creek Pond stops being a dark patch on flat ground and turns into a mirror, briefly the brightest surface in the neighbourhood. Shot at midday, the same pond reads grey and the feature the streets are named for disappears from the frame; a schedule built on convenience rather than sun angle gives the listing its dullest possible version.
