Aerial work across Foothills South
Film and photography are unaffected by airspace, and the studio can be commissioned throughout the corridor. For aerial work, the airspace governs. Largely uncontrolled Class G airspace, with the Okotoks Air Park and the High River aerodrome creating localised constraints. The southern parcels are as unconstrained as anywhere in the service area.

Conditions across the corridor.
High River
River floodplain and open ranch land. Very flat, with the Highwood River corridor as the defining feature.
Southern foothills exposure. Strong, persistent west and southwest wind is normal rather than exceptional.
Okotoks
A river valley cutting through foothills ranch country. The Sheep River provides the only significant relief; the rest is long, open rolling ground.
Foothills chinook exposure. West wind arrives off the front ranges with little to slow it.
Diamond Valley
Foothills bench country split by a wooded river valley — the two former townsites face each other across it, and the ranch land climbs west from the last streets toward the front ranges.
Chinook belt, hard against the foothills. West wind comes off the front ranges with the gust spread already built in, and the open bench ground takes it at full strength.
Aldersyde
Level crop and ranch land on the county survey grid, with the Sheep River's shallow, treed valley crossing north of the hamlet and the foothills a distant line west.
Chinook belt, and open. West wind crosses the flat ground here with little in its way; the Sheep River's shallow valley offers a brief break, not shelter.
